Remodel / Move!

So many of you have asked us about our house. We are remodeling like crazy. These are a few pictures taken after we ripped out walls and removed paneling! The washer and dryer are located in the kitchen, so we are moving them to an addition we are planning to add to the back. As you can see here, Mike is trying to figure it out.....hmmmm.

 

Here goes the wall (yes, another one!). You can see all the pipes for the washing machine and water heater! Yes, this is the kitchen!

This is taken from the front door looking toward the back of the house. What used to be a living room is now going to be a dining/office area. The wall was removed (you can see all wiring hanging from the ceiling where it used to be) so it is all very open now.

You can see the cabinets stacked around which I am going to refinish. I am painting them. I really love the look and ell bw doing some custome work so with the paint it will be easier to match than stain.  I am thinking a light teal...?!

The wall is being removed and the now we have to pound up the concrete!

 

 

So far so good. We have a lot to do and not much time to do it as our house sold an have to get out. Yikes!

Posting new beads. It's been a long summer and hopefully the heat is leaving! It is not fun working at a torch in the heat so I have been lazy. Doing a few shows here and there and selling my stock out so I can gear up for the holidays. It is cooling off and I am back and here is my latest torch session!  The set below is really beautiful! I added silver to the beads and got this fabulous effect! The bubbly effect is actually the silver caught inside the glass. Very glittery and very hard to catch difitally. Gorgeous beads!

Yummy Neckwear for Spring!

I am dying to make new beads! However, for now, life is in the way! I have so much to do and not enough hours in the day! I am sure you all feel that way too!

I have got a really dirty house to clean today. It seems like I always let things go so I can make glass stuff. So now I have company coming and really have to clean up. May be I can just mesmerize them with beautiful glass items and they won't notice the dirt?!! Ok, ok. I also have to wash clothes so I have something to wear while they are here!

But...I do have some preview items. These I made awhile ago and haven't yet listed so here's a preview. They will list soon!

Remember, these are bracelets and you can add a chail to make it more versatile! Plus you can use the chain on other bracelets or even pair the chains and add a charm. It is so fun!

Here are bead pictures. Just a variety I grabbed last night. I am sure I have lots more but they tend to be left rolling around in the bottoms of various cases! You can have anything here for $2. They were heading to my bead garden! :) Let me know if you want any of these:

These are a bit more expensive but I really like them. They are so fun and colorful. This is my 'playtime' stuff!

 The bead on the far left is really big, but the very end crackled a bit when I was cleaning it. It is still intact and a bead cap will cover it just fine but it is flawed! The first 4 are $5. The next 2 (green and blue) are $4 and the end blue far right is $3 (This covers the cost of the glass).

The color swirls through these like a marble which is what the end pic tries to show. They are fun!
