New Stuff (Maybe)

Do you ever start playing around with things trying to get what's in your mind onto the page or into the painting or the clay or glass or whatever, and wonder,"What the heck am I doing?" You set out with a goal in mind and end up taking so many different paths to get there that you wonder if the end was really what you wanted to begin with. Does that make sense? I mean, we all do it. There are so different paths we can take and so many exciting things to see and try that when we reach our destination the end isn't really as exciting as we anticipated. It was the journey that was the really awesome part.

It's funny really. I started out with and idea this week. I had these small little frames that I really wanted to do something with. Something a little different. So I began to create. One night I was looking at some clay pieces I had been working on and thought,"This would be pretty cool in those little frames." So I got them out and a couple days later I had this:

Not yet completed but interesting, right? I think I might be on to something......

Then as I played I came up with these little guys:

Well, the creative journey is interesting and never ending. Thinking about listing some of these on Etsy. What do you think? I have some dragons I think I may try....

Oh ya, what the heck am I doing?!

Are you going to the Glass and Bead Expo in April? GO!!! It is sooo fun!
I have been digging through my box of fun and I came across these cuties. I absolutely love them! They are cute and fun and real attention getters! The really cool thing about them is that you can choose from any of my round beads to add for the body. I will be posting a bunch of beads this weekend 'cuz I have been out in my studio playing in the glass!! I just can't stay away from it. These little critters are very affordable, too! WOW! With all that going for them how can you not adopt one? Oh yeah, they come with the cutest little birth certificate with a space where you can fill in a name. I thought this would be a really cute gift idea for anyone. Make it a pendant, a charm, even a key chain! I am having sooo much fun with mine. I gave out little green (bead) dragons for St. Patrick's day to all my friends. They LOVED them! You will too. They will soon be listed on my Etsy site at http://www.jujuwear.etsy.com/!

Here are just a few. The one on the left shows the piece before the bead is added just so you can see the difference. Fun, huh?! There will be more in Etsy. Come take a look!
